The Awareness Walk, jointly organized by the Nallur Lions Club and STS Hospital on 12th October 2025, carried the theme “Let us guide the visually impaired, let us respect the white cane.”

Held ahead of International White Cane Day, it promoted awareness about the rights, independence, and confidence of visually impaired individuals. Starting from Nallur Temple and concluding at Rajaganapathy Mahal, the event featured inspiring speeches, cultural performances by visually impaired participants, and recognition of their talents and resilience.

The initiative reflected the joint commitment of STS Hospital and the Lions Club to fostering inclusion, empowerment, and respect for the visually impaired community.
